The modern world is an incredibly stressful time to live and it seems to get more stressful as time moves on. Gaining these benefits will also lead to more control of your emotions and a calmer body(3). As with anything that grants amazing benefits mindfulness is not easy and requires effort.
A good way to look at mindfulness would be to consider it a mental exercise. Much like weight lifting, when you practice mindfulness you need to do it repeatedly and over an extended period of time(2). The most common type of mindfulness is by applying your complete, and fully aware, attention to one 'thing'. This 'thing' could be anything from your breathing, sounds, or your thoughts. Another form of practice requires you to concentrate on the passing sensations occurring throughout your body(2). Applying your open awareness to your body's sensations is the form that would best combine with masturbation.
Mindful masturbation combines stress relief for your body and mind. Based on the research done on mindfulness combining it with masturbation will make you a better and more well rounded person.
